Day 92--Build a bridge out of her!
I love bridges, but don't get to shoot them, since there's very little space to pull over and park on most bridges. So that kinda sucks. But I thought I'd try a while-driving shot with the fish-eye today. I think it turned out well, don't you?
For those curious, it's the bridge going over the Ohio river just outside of Paducah.

Day 89--Yard Work
My neighbor is in the process of reseeding his front yard, and to do so, he had to kill off everything he already had growing. So it was a little weird to come home from dad's last week and see his grass going brown in the middle of May. I suspect that by this time next week he'll be tilling, so it'll look even weirder. Whatever works for him, though.

Day 86--Jam Session
I bought a lot of strawberries last week, and instead of eating them all in one sitting, opted to make some jam instead. And, because I'm crazy like that, opted to can it. In the end it might have been overkill, since I only made enough jam for one jar.
But in the future, I can start preserving other stuff. Which is good.

Day 85--Fishy
I get to fish-sit this summer, as The Brother accidentally headed for Montana without Cambridge (sp?). The cats don't seem to care that an appetizer is swimming in the living room, which is weird. But that's alright.
It's hard to gauge the emotion of a fish, but he (she?) seems pretty content in my living room.

Day 84--More George!
Day 83--Down for the Count
Our cutter at work unceremoniously died a week or so ago. We had some techs out on Friday to take a look at it. I don't think this belt had anything to do with the problem, but it was there, and so was my camera.
Prognosis on the cutter doesn't look good, so I guess we might be getting a new one pretty soon, unless we want to cut bookmarks by hand (not fun!).

Day 81--Bowled Over
Bowling is hard to shoot, if you ask me. All of the good shots require standing out in the middle of the lane or in the gutters, because otherwise you wind up with backs of heads. And who wants that in a sports shot?
But this artistic stuff is a lot easier.
We won't talk about my scores last night, because they were pretty wretched.

Day 80--Clouds
It was stormy this morning, and the result, when all was said and done, was this really cool bit of cloud cover. The picture doesn't do them justice, really, as they were moving in a very fluid manner, almost like they were alive. Very cool stuff.
Of course, I think the sun has come out as I write this. Weather. Sheesh.

p.s. When I started this project, never did I think that one of my pictures would elicit a Paris Hilton reference. How exciting!

Day 78--Berries
Day 77--Band Scramble
We didn't win. But we did have a hell of a good time. So that, I think, is all that really matters. There's a certain thrill and rush of excitement from playing music on stage that few things can match. So for that experience alone, I'm glad I did this.
Obviously not our band. The band here is....Fuel for Fire, I think. Their lead singer was quite the dynamo. I believe they came in second, and I imagine she was a big reason for that.
Lighting at Off Broadway was tricky. I spent all night trying to find something that worked. I got to use the fish-eye in its first concert setting, and I think it has potential, especially when I can get close like this.

Day 71--Scotch Bonnet
Welcome to Food Week, friends. True this was supposed to be last week, but there's a very good reason I didn't do it last week. And that would be "I forgot." So apologies all around.
I've never used a habanero before. I do know they're pretty damn hot. I'm also excited about spending a mere $.09 on this at the store tonight. Since tomorrow is the Fifth of Mayonnaise I'd make some tacos, and through this little guy in for some extra heat. We'll see how that goes.
Photo taken in my fridge a la Good Eats.

Day 69--Drums
Busy weekend=no time for posting. But rest assured, the pictures were being taken.
I love the way the sunlight looks coming through and kitting the kit. I was hoping to catch some of the individual beams, but it didn't quite work out that way. I still think it looks nice.
And by the ringing in my ears, they be loud, too.
